BrynMoor's background....
I purchased my first Irish Setter, Hoebe, from
the Frey family of Winter Park, FL in 1973. Although never shown, Hoebe lived to
13 years of age and firmly established my love for the breed. My
husband would always tease me about "Saint Hoebe" until he was
surrounded by redheads of his own. Now, he understands first-hand
how infectious the love and devotion they give to their "humans"
warrants their "sainthood" in our hearts.
The name BrynMoor is derived from "Brady and
More". Brady is our first American Canadian Champion and the
setter who introduced us to the sport of dog showing. Although he
isn't my first setter, he is the one who brought me back into the breed. We
thought we would pay tribute to him by incorporating his name into our kennel
name.
Our Setters migrate to and from our home in Virginia
and our farm in Gainesboro, Tennessee. They especially love the farm
as it is very secluded and they have lots of acreage on which to romp and
explore. It won't be too long before the farm will become their
permanent home -- those tranquil hillsides will soon be dotted with
rollicking, red-headed, ridge-runners!
